A Golf Themed Retirement Party
“A truly great boss is hard to find, difficult to part with, and impossible to forget.”
When I found out my boss was retiring, I was devastated. When you’ve worked so well with a superior who is a leader, mentor, and an all around awesome person, it feels like your losing something when realizing they will no longer be apart of your normalcy at work. To say he will be missed is a complete understatement.
Planning 101
Once I got past the anxiety of his departure, I put all of my focus into planning his retirement party. I started by brainstorming a variety of themes that would best suit him. He loves golf and without thinking any further, golf it was! I put together the save the date and invitation based on a navy blue, both lime green and hunter green, white, and silver color palette.

It’s all in the details.
Once my color palette was chosen, I started looking for wow factors to elevate the party. The venue was already chosen and they would be handling the food and drinks. I would be handling the centerpieces, gifts and wishes table, and I had to do a custom dessert table. This was my first time executing a dessert table. I started by drawing a diagram of what treats I’d like to adorn the table. This included a cake, donuts, cookies, and custom wrapped candy bars.

When I started out planning, I barely found much inspiration online. A lot of what I found was kid themed and not much use for what I was planning. Maybe there isn’t too many golf themed adult parties. I hope to be inspiration to someone else in need of ideas for their golf themed party. XoXo
